Equipment

  • Grill (gas or charcoal)
  • Tongs
  • Meat thermometer

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets about 6 oz each, skin-on
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  • 1-Prepare the Salmon:
-Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Brush each fillet with olive oil and season generously with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder. Let the fillets rest for 10 minutes at room temperature.
  • 2-Preheat the Grill:
-Heat your grill to medium-high (375–400°F). Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  • 3-Grill the Salmon:
-Place the fillets skin-side down on the grill. Cook for 5–6 minutes until the skin becomes golden and crispy. Flip the fillets carefully using tongs and cook for an additional 4–5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  • 4-Serve and Enjoy:
-Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for 2–3 minutes. Pair with fresh lemon wedges and your favorite side dishes.

Notes

  • For an extra layer of flavor, marinate the salmon in a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, and fresh herbs for 30 minutes before grilling.
  • If you prefer, you can use skinless salmon fillets, but be extra cautious while flipping to prevent breaking.
