  • 1 large egg beaten
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs or crushed saltine crackers
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • ¼ cup finely chopped green bell pepper optional
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
